Mar 22, 2023 · JACK982. Hi all, I have an 2006 1.4 Mk2 Petrol Focus hatchback. The boot does not open. But opens on the keyfob. I have replaced the handle switch,and checked all wiring. Posted April 16, 2011. My key fob also went a bit wrong, and has done a couple times if the battery is disconnected. Give this a try. Open the door with the key. Put the key in the ignition. I have these problems, the key has never worked in my ownership. The button always needed 3 or 4 presses to get the boot open.
